We are a Year 1 class at Nelson Central School, Nelson, New Zealand. Most of us are 5 years old,
except for our teachers, Tracy and Sam and Mark our trainee teacher aide, who are a little older. This blog lets you know what we
have been up to and what our next learning steps will be. We love to find out what people
think about our class so please get typing and leave us a comment.

Welcome to Room 10

Kia ora and welcome to our first Room 10 blog post for 2015. We have been starting to learn some of the class routines. Here we are drawing and cutting out the rainbow letter for the sound 's'.

We have been practicing our names.

In maths we played number mat twister.

On Thursday we had our first session of Fundamental Skills with Jane from No Child Left Inside. We cooled off with a sponge and water relay.

We found some interesting solutions to how to carry 3 sponges at once.

On Friday we met the Year 3 and 4 children from Room 5 who are going to be our buddy class. We had great fun showing them around our Junior Playground.
